We are a small breeder, specializing in breeding and selling beautiful AKC Registered Standard Poodles. All of our dogs are our pets, first and foremost; they run and play with our children, they dive on our couch just the same as yours do!
We are NOT a puppy mill.
If you decide Red Standards are not for you, please choose your breeder carefully. As a person who loves her dogs, I have a couple 'pet' peeves!
If a breeder lists their 'retired' dogs for sale, be leery. Would you sell a pet you've loved for 7 years? No! Dogs are not livestock! (This really bothers me.)
Co-Ownership of a dog- When I was interested in purchasing our dogs, I was offered Co-Ownership on several occasions. This is where you get to keep the dog at your residence, but the breeder gets the dog back during heat cycles to breed your dog. We do NOT do this, and I think it's pretty tacky.
Please research your breed before selecting your puppy. Standard Poodles are known for their sweet & funny temperments, and some say they are allergen-free dogs (they barely shed). Because they do not shed, there's some grooming involved!
